What constitutes a valid will ?

  While the legal requirements differ from state to state, generally a valid will requires basic things like being of legal age [18 yrs old] and having the mental capacity to understand what you are doing.  Specifically, the basics will include that the will be executed and witnessed.

       Palimony is simply two people  Living together with an agreement to form a marriage-like relationship.

      It can be a day or a lifetime but what is required are the terms of a contract: offer, acceptance, consideration, and performance. 

     Often without a written agreement the length of such relationship implicitly shows existence of these terms and the parties' intent. No matter what if the two have an 'understanding' of a marriage like relationship, then it's time to call an attorney to protect yourself.
